An opportunity for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people to come together to
commemorate Sorry Day recognising the Stolen Generations.

Start: 1.30pm
• Smoking Ceremony and Welcome to Country
• One minute silence to remember the Stolen Generations.
• A reading from Aunty Nancy’s Book of Poems.
• Didgeridoo playing + Clap Sticks
Join us for afternoon Tea, Coffee, Damper,
Kangaroo rissoles and more.
Everyone is invited inside the hall to look at displays
and do some weaving.
• Kids can start Boomerangs painting with the help
from the Biala Girls.
• Coloring in for the younger ones.
• Everything is provided.
• See the Aboriginal Artefacts display.
• Listen to the Didgeridoo playing.
• You will enjoy Weaving with Auntie Karleen Green in the small meeting room.
• ASG Book sale. Large display of children books.

(KBH) was a ‘home’ run by the NSW Government for over 50 years (1924 – 1970) to house Aboriginal
boys forcibly removed from their families and deliberately re-programmed in order to assimilate
them into white Australian society. “We were just little boys.”
• At the end of the day, a show and tell to see the weaving and what the kids have done
with the Boomerang painting. Then the kids will receive a small gift to take home.
