A Story to Tell…
On a Road Toward Reconciliation
This book, by members of the Aboriginal Support Group – Manly Warringah Pittwater (ASG), contains the story of a group of people living on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, who came together because they shared a passion to see right relationships forged between Indigenous and settler Australians. Working in their local area, this group set out to change the way non-Aboriginal people understood and related to Aboriginal Australians. They spoke with and listened to Aboriginal people, made a firm decision to never speak on behalf of Aboriginal people and committed themselves to ‘be there’ with effective, informed support.
This book also contains a comprehensive list of resources and a timeline detailing major events relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the activities of the ASG.
This book can be obtain at the ASG meeting.
