Parking at Birdwood Park Ocean Street Narrabeen.
Look for the Aboriginal flags
There will be a Traditional Smoking Ceremony and a Welcome to Country performed by local Garigal men.
Immerse yourself in the Smoke and release your problems, leave them with the old moon and welcome in the new moon with a refreshing washing of your feet for a fresh start, meditating on your new intentions.
We will all enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. There will be dancing around the fire. Clapsticks playing, the sound of the didgeridoo playing There will be some story telling as well. Kids are most welcome.
How good are you at emu and kangaroo dancing and maybe goanna dancing?
This event is run by descendants of the Traditional Custodians of Garigal Country.
We suggest you bring a folding chair and/or blanket and some water. Or picnic dinner.
This free community event is alcohol-free.
