Join us for an all-ages Aboriginal astronomy talk
with Muruwari man Will Stevens
- Learn about the role of the stars in Aboriginal society
- Hear cultural night sky stories
- See where in the night sky these star stories are located
- Marvel at the depth of scientific knowledge held within stories of the oldest continuous living culture on earth
- Enjoy Will’s lively presentation drawn from his experiences within his circle of family, elders, community knowledge holders and research into his heritage
Will has worked at Sydney Observatory, Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority,
Taronga Zoo as a cultural guide and is currently working
at TAFE as an Aboriginal Student Support Officer.
